Description: Ecology created the GIS statewide river mile point layer in March 2007 by digitizing the river mile points depicted on the USGS 7½ minute (24k) topographic quadrangle maps. Some of the rivers have gaps in the river mile progression because several of the quadrangle maps do not have any river mile points, while a few were missing a point or two. In November 2014 Ecology added river mile points for the missing areas using Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's (WDFW) 1975 Stream Catalog, which only covers WRIA's 1 through 24. The Stream Catalog shows river miles for nearly every stream; however, only those water courses that have river miles from the USGS quadrangle maps were added. The field SOURCE denotes the source of the data point, USGS or WDFW. Discrepancies between the USGS and WDFW are documented in the Supplemental Information section.

Description: Proeduced by WA Dept. of Ecy. these data contains bathymetric contours of selected freshwater lakes in eastern and western Washington during the mid-seventies. The bathymetric contours were digitized from maps contained in a series of seven documents: Reconnaissance Data on Lakes in Washington, Water-Supply Bulletin 43, Volume 1 through 7 by the United States Geological Survey in cooperation with the
Description: Polygon layer created by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources of known bathymetry data in Washington State. Many data sets are available publicly, but many are not. These extent polygons were created using several methods: delineated from actual extents of raster data sets, hand-delineated extent of point or polygon data, and geometry of sample polygon used for maximum surveyed area (not necessarily full coverage).
Description: All known bathymetric data for the Marine Spatial Planning Area Boundary was collected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. These data show the spatial extent of all known data in this area, and cover all years up to 2014.
Description: These data show the spatial extent of all digitally held data available from the National Centers for Envornmental Information (The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data sharing and storage center). The extents of regularly spaced gridded data with varying spatial resolutions are displayed. Due to the large resolution of some data, Foot prints may extend beyond the actual limit of the data collection extent, including in some cases onto land. Therefore, the edges of these data should be viewed critically, and not be assumed to show the true edge of the survey.
