This dataset contains information on the location, heat characteristics, and availability of water chemistry of known geothermal and heat flow wells in the state of Washington. The data were collected from databases compiled by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Washington Geological Survey (WGS) and Southern Methodist University (SMU) (Blackwell, 2010), as well as new temperature-gradient data collected as part of the National Geothermal Data System (NGDS). Chemical analyses and scanned geophysical logs are available for some of these wells through related data tables. In addition, temperature-depth plots are available for many boreholes. Much of the data is located within central and eastern Washington. |
