DNR has created an inventory of derelict and abandoned vessels in the waters of Washington State. In addition, criteria have been developed to prioritize these vessels for removal. These priorities include consideration of environmental protection, threats to human health and safety, as well as threats to navigation, so the most damaging vessels can be removed first.

Derelict or abandoned vessels put public safety and the health of our marine and fresh waters at risk. Vessels in the DVRP database are those that have been reported to DNR as being potentially abandoned or derelict or have been reported as a vessel of concern. They have not necessarily been confirmed as abandoned or derelict. There may an owner who is maintaining the vessel. Listing in this database does not mean that an agency action is underway against the vessel unless specifically noted. Listing in no way gives any party permission to board the vessel, remove materials from the vessel or otherwise interfere with the vessel unless they have the specific legal authority to do so. Information on the vessels can change rapidly and the database may not contain the most current information. For the most current information on any particular vessel please contact Melissa Ferris at 360-902-1574 or Jerry Farmer at 360-902-1070.

" }
